Lightmen Painting is hiring a residential painting estimator to help inspect projects, build accurate proposals, and win profitable work in the Portland area.

This role is for someone who can communicate well with homeowners, understand scope, identify project needs, and create clear, professional estimates. You must be able to walk a job, ask the right questions, spot issues, and turn that information into pricing that makes sense for both the client and the company.

You will be working on residential painting opportunities such as interiors, exteriors, cabinet refinishing, and related repaint projects. The right person is professional, organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable talking with homeowners while also thinking like a business operator.

This is not just a sales role and not just a technical role. It is both. We want someone who can help close work without pricing jobs like a maniac.

Requirements

  • Experience estimating residential painting projects is strongly preferred
  • Strong communication and customer-facing skills
  • Ability to measure projects accurately and assess scope
  • Understanding of prep work, production, paint systems, and jobsite workflow
  • Ability to create organized, professional estimates and proposals
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Comfortable discussing pricing and project expectations with homeowners
  • Reliable transportation required
  • Valid driver’s license preferred
  • Experience with CRM or estimating software is a plus
  • Sales experience is a plus
